Hi, I'm Daniel Clubley

I'm a mechanical design engineer from Yorkshire with over ten years experience in the industry. I specialise in the design of first of a kind automation equipment, with the ability to assist from concept stage, right through to site installation and validation.

I started my career at "Machines Automation Robotic Systems", a company dedicated to special purpose machinery. I finished my apprenticeship here mainly working in CNC machining and assembly. Following my apprenticeship, I had a keen interest in design and started work in the design office, improving to the point of leading design projects. With it being a small company, I still had the chance to get involved with machining and assembly.

I moved to a company called Mpac Lambert. During my time there I worked as both a designer and technical lead on a variety of projects within the FMCG, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. The most rewarding jobs I've worked on started with a blank design, I was able to get involved at every stage to ensure the concept developed into a fully functioning machine. These particular jobs also allowed me to travel to some interesting places where I had the opportunity to oversee the site acceptance of the machines.

In 2022, I left my job to travel South America, while out there I started freelance work, working with a variety of smaller independent companies, offering consultancy and design engineering services.

Upon my return in 2023, I set this business up and now provide my services as a contractor, focusing in first of a kind special purpose machinery.

Outside of work, I really enjoy going on hiking trips and camping either around England, Scotland or abroad. Just before lockdown I started climbing and running which is something I enjoy when I have the time.

TL;DR: Here's my LinkedIn.
